PROCESS
1. Procurement
The production process begins with the purchase of freshwater-grown coconut husks. The hardening process of coconut husks takes more than six weeks, after which the coconut fibers are separated and sorted. Planet Coco products use only the finest coconut flakes.
2. Washing
Premium Grade Coconuts keep for over 18 months on clean, weed-free cement floors. During this time, the monsoon rain washes away excess salt from the coconut core and neutralizes the coconut core’s pH. The coconut core is also washed with clean water to bring the pH and electrical conductivity to the desired level.
3. Screening
Examine the washed core for pH value, electrical conductivity and salt content. When the cores reach their preferred EC and pH levels, they are sent for sieving. The sieving process removes fiber fragments and other impurities. After obtaining the core to the required screening size, the material is sent for drying to reduce moisture.
4. Drying
After sieving, the coco pith is dried beneathneath the solar on cement floor. Once the moisture of coco peat come to be beneathneath 18%, the coco pith is despatched for very last screening.
6. Compression
