Copra

Copra is dried meat or kernel of coconut (Cocos Nucifera) cut in half with husk and shell removed. Consist of white fleshy edible meat and outer brown skin. We dried copra with sun or oven dried method into specific moisture categories. Copra is valued for the coconut oil from which it is extracted and the resulting residue, copra meal or copra cake. There are 3 grades of copra.

Edible Copra is highest grade usually a fine, well-processed half-cup of coconut kernels. Also known as White Copra and food grade copra. It is clean and fit for consumed directly. Important ingredient in Pakistani cuisines but it can be processed at the highest quality of coconut oil.

Regular Copra is second grade of copra can be fit into White Copra category along with Edible Copra because of it colour. Almost the same specification of Edible Copra but difference in diameter.

Milling copra consists of non uniform dried coconut kernels. The lowest grade of copra has uneven yellow colour. Due to its cheapest price among other copra it is best for RBD Coconut Oil.
